Krups PG70 Panini Maker, Brushed Stainless Steel

Krups PG70 Panini Maker, Brushed Stainless Steel Reviews

This is my first panini maker. We were getting sandwiches from our work cafeteria and being charged an arm and leg. I really did my research and am very happy with my purchase. I like the temperature control and shut off, the locking of the unit works great and makes it easy to move. We can grill up to 3 full size sandwiches and all have been masterpieces. The only thing I would have liked would be to remove the grids for cleaning but the cleaning is not so painful and doesn't stop me from using it. Looking forward to warm winter sandwiches. Recipe book has good ideas. Now our lunches for 3 people run under . It will pay for itself this winter.

Excellent product - Juan A. Rocas Morales - Caracas, Venezuela
I bought this one on Sept 2007 and is being used often because we love paninis. Right now, I am buying a second one to use in my beach house. Highly recommended as you can prepare delicious sandwiches without spend a fortune in a Panini Bar. Don't buy cheap models than underperformed since first day. Notice that this is the only one in a price range of less than 100 bucks that offer 1800 Watts of power. This is the reason for which you get really paninis. Check that.

LOVE this thing!! - Ms. Mindy D. Stone - Huntington Beach, CA
I've had one for 2 years, use it about twice a month. Grills sandwiches evenly, easy to clean (I just wipe it off with soft paper towels while the grills are still slightly warm), cord wraps tidy and the locking works great allowing you to store it vertically which saves storage space. The multiple settings allows you to cook thick/think sandwiches accordingly. Great product!

Intermittant Heat hard to control - Peter Hobson - Hooterville, N.C.
The heat turns off no matter where the setting and you have to keep raising the temperature to get the pan to turn on again. The lid is NOT tempered glass as I took if off the pain and touched it with a sponge and it broke into 4 pieces. Would not recommend. I returned it for a refund.

Works OK for Small Spaces - C. F. Hill - Blue Ridge Summit, PA USA
The Continental Electric Grill is small and convenient for use in a small kitchen. This is a very basic electric frying pan that works well in a limited capacity.br /br /I like that it has fairly deep side walls, so cooking eggs works well (omelets come out nice), and it is the perfect size for making grilled cheese sandwiches. The lid is OK for use while cooking and also helps to keep food warm for serving. I also like that the power cord is about 2.5' long, which is a fair length for countertop cooking.br /br /There are few basic things that keep this from being really good. The first is that the non-stick coating is VERY thin, so it really needs to be hand washed shortly after using it. The heating control is far from precise and needs to be watched very closely to avoid burning the food until you become familiar with it. Lastly, the handle is detachable and the pan can be used to serve the food, but this should be attempted with utmost caution when hot.br /br /This worked as expected, but my expectations were fairly low. I would buy it again.

Hamilton Beach 25285H Meal Maker Express Contact Grill

Hamilton Beach 25285H Meal Maker Express Contact Grill Reviews

For years, I've owned a fixed-plate Forman. Gotta love the convenience of indoor grilling, but I have no love for cleaning the thing: as anyone who has owned one can attest, those things are hell to clean. So between that and the fact that the nonstick coating on my Forman is wearing out, I decided to look into getting a new, removable plate unit. Well, I was very surprised to find how expensive they are, so I started to look at alternatives. I found this one, and I must say I'm very pleasantly surprised. I think the design is better: it drains into an internal cup insetead of pouring out the front of the unit, and the grooves in the plates are deeper. The nonstick coating on the plates positively REPELS water; it's pretty crazy. Plus, it folds flat if you want to grill that way, and it has a timer, which is nice. I've only used it once so far, but it seems to heat up pretty good (not sure if it gets quite as hot as the fixed-plate Forman, but I can spare an extra minute), and the cleaning! Oh, the cleaning! Removal of the plates is easy as can be, and I just dunked those bad boys into the sink and scrubbed them with a sponge. Spotlessly clean, something I never got with the fixed plate Forman. Whats more, there's no water leakage under the plates to get inside the unit and gunk things up. I should have gotten this years ago. Be warned, this particular unit is pretty small: I grilled two frozen turkey-burger patties, and they just fit side by side on the grill. This is fine for me, but if you are grilling for several people, you'll probably want the next larger model.

Hamilton Beach 25285H Meal Maker Express Contact Grill Feature

  • Indoor grill cooks food on both sides at once
  • Nonstick, dishwasher-safe grills make cleanup easy
  • Top opens flat for double the cooking area
  • Drip tray slides into grill to keep drips off counter
  • Automatic shutoff timer prevents over-cooking
The Meal Maker Express Contact Grill from Hamilton Beach offers a clean way to grill fast, healthy dinners indoors with little or no cleanup. The Meal Maker Express has removable, dishwasher safe nonstick grids for easy cleanup and, with its high-speed grilling, can make most meals in under 10 minutes. The grid system lets fats drip away from foods for healthier cooking and the cooking timer with auto shutoff is convenient and easy to use. The grease tray fits securely in the grill for safe cooking and slides out for dishwasher safe cleaning. The medium size 60-square-inch grilling surface is just right for 1 or 2 people and the Meal Maker Express can also open flat for a full 120-square-inch double grill for twice the cooking area.

Great grill! - Laurie Keizur - Arlington, Oregon
We had one just like it and searched for the same model because we only wanted the same one. We wore the old one out after 7 years. I was so glad to see they still made them. It is the best in my mind.
